Nairobi Senator and ODM Secretary-General Edwin Sifuna has broken his silence following Raila Odinga’s clarification on the party’s 2027 political strategy. Raila told party MPs that no resolution exists preventing ODM from fielding its own presidential candidate.
He reminded leaders that ODM’s cooperation with UDA was limited to parliamentary work and governance reforms but does not extend to the general election.
Sifuna, who skipped the parliamentary group meeting, quickly shared Raila’s declaration on social media with the caption “Loud. Clear.” – a bold signal of his opposition to ODM backing President Ruto.
Allies like Caleb Amisi supported Raila’s remarks, warning ODM rivals not to underestimate the former Prime Minister’s political comeback ability.
