Youth Fund Director Faith Norah Lukosi has officially declared her intention to contest the Makadara Parliamentary seat in the upcoming 2027 elections, issuing a strong rebuke against sitting MP George Aladwa.
Norah accused Aladwa of failing to deliver on promises and neglecting development projects in the constituency. She claimed many residents feel abandoned and that the current leadership has “lost touch with the people.”
“Makadara deserves a new kind of leadership — one that listens, delivers, and empowers the youth,” she said during her announcement.
The youthful leader, who has been at the forefront of youth empowerment through the Youth Fund, pledged to focus on job creation, education support, and accountability in the use of public funds.
Norah’s decision sets up a political showdown with Aladwa, a seasoned ODM politician who has represented Makadara since 2013. Political observers say her entry could shake up local dynamics, reflecting a growing demand for youthful and transparent leadership.
If successful, Norah would join a new generation of Kenyan leaders emerging from civil service backgrounds to elective office — a trend reshaping constituency politics across Nairobi.
